Effect of NF- B Inhibition on TNF- –Induced Apoptosis in Human RPE Cells
نویسندگان
چکیده
PURPOSE. In many cell types, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)– induced apoptosis is prevented by production of TNF– induced antiapoptotic protein, a process mediated by nuclear transcription factor (NF)B. TNFis widely expressed in proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) membranes and is present in the vitreous of eyes with PVR. To understand mechanisms responsible for RPE cell survival and death in this disease, this study was conducted to determine whether specific NFB blockade by mutant inhibitory (I)B (I B) affects TNF–induced cell death.

Caspase inhibition in neuroinflammation induced by soluble β amyloid monomer, protects cells from abnormal survival and proliferation, via attenuation of NFқB activity
Introduction: Evidence suggests that neuronal apoptosis in neurodegenerative diseases is correlated with inflammatory reactions. The beneficial or detrimental role of apoptosis in neuroinflammation is unclear. Elucidating this question may be helpful in management of neurodegenerative diseases. Since TNF-α is able to induce apoptosis as well as increased viability of the cells by activation ...

Objective(s): Aberrant expression of CCL5 has been found in several kinds of inflammatory diseases, and the roles of CCL5 in these diseases have also been reported. However, the role of CCL5 in infantile pneumonia is still unclear. Thus, the function and acting mechanism of CCL5 in the in vitro model of infantile pneumonia were researched in this study. Materials and Methods: Human fetal lung f...
متن کاملVGB3 Induces Apoptosis by Inhibiting Phosphorylation of NF-κB p65 at Serine 536 in the Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells
Background and objectives: Nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) inhibition results in an increase in apoptosis. It has been demonstrated that NF-κB subunit p65 phosphorylation at the IκB kinase phosphorylation site serine 536 (Ser536) is essential for the NF-κB nuclear translocation and activation. Therefore, NF-κB can be downregulated by suppressing its phosph...

Introduction: Neuropathy is the most common neurological complication of diabetes which affects the central nervous systems, especially the brain. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of resistance training After Transplantation of stem cells on rate of TNF-α and NF-κB in cerebral Cortex of STZ-induced Diabetic Rats. Materials and Methods: : In this experimental study,...

PURPOSE Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha is an important cytokine associated with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR). TNF-alpha activates the extrinsic apoptotic pathway. In many cells, nuclear transcription factor (NF)-kappaB upregulates antiapoptotic proteins and prevents TNF-alpha-mediated apoptosis. However, retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cel...
